Prophetic Insight for 2008 from Cindy Jacobs and Bill Hamon

The Apostle Paul instructs the Church:

Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. (I Thesallonians 5:19-21)

The prophet Amos declares:

Indeed, the Sovereign Lord never does anything until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets. (Amos 3:7, NLT)

The Lord is speaking through his prophets to the Church today. Two of the most respected prophetic voices today are Cindy Jacobs and Bishop Bill Hamon. Here are a couple of words regarding the Church in 2008 that should be prayerfully considered.

From Cindy Jacobs:

This is one of the most critical times of intercession that we have been in for many years. This is not only because of the election, but also because of the possibility of a serious economic recession or possibility of something more hopeless around 2009 or 2010.

In addition, the threat of terrorism has again come on the radar of many intercessors; some even feel the threat of a dirty bomb! I am so glad that prayer changes the course of Satan's planned history and trumps his plans!

The Lord spoke to me last September that He was requiring me to "Possess the Gates" in '08. The same night that God spoke to me, He told my good friend, Chuck Pierce, to lay down the prayer network in the United States. As of this month, we are launching the Reformation Prayer Network. We will send a separate mailing on this in detail with instructions on how you can get involved.

Also, in light of the many voices who feel we need to protect the nation in a concerted way, I would like you to join me and other Christian leaders for the Reign Down meeting April 26, 2008 in Washington DC on the mall. In addition, my good friend, Lou Engle from The Call is continuing the battle for the nation and the fight for the unborn child's right to life from state to state.

Here is what is God is saying to me, "Satan has come down with great wrath but I am raising up an army of highly intelligent and capable spiritual generals who will shape the course of history. Do not be anxious or intimidated by the emotional and physical roadblocks in your way. Stand strong in the heat of the battle and you will help change the course of both your family's history and that of your nations!"

From Bill Hamon:

The Lord Jesus has revealed by His Spirit some insight and application concerning His timely purpose being activated in 2008.  I have been prophesying for 10 years that a “Saints Movement” is coming to the Body of Christ.  The Saints Movement is a time when the saints—that is, believers in Jesus Christ—recognize and act on the understanding that Christ has empowered and commissioned each of them to be the Church 24/7, manifesting the Kingdom of God wherever they live and work. 

Every believer has the ability to manifest the supernatural in a miraculous way, and every saint is called to demonstrate the gospel of the Kingdom (not just the gospel of salvation) in their sphere of influence.

Now, in 2008, God has brought new revelation and application.  The Saints Movement is the catalyst to launch the Church into the Third and Final Apostolic Reformation.

The First Apostolic Reformation occurred in the 1st century with the launching of the era of the New Testament Church.  The Second Apostolic Reformation, which is known to historians as the Reformation, transitioned the Church from the “Dark Ages” to beginning the period of the restoration of the Church (see Acts 3:21). 

The Third and Final Apostolic Reformation began with the Saints Movement and is transitioning the Church into demonstrating and implementing the gospel of the Kingdom into the seven world kingdoms (defined by Os Hillman as “7 mountains” of business, education, government, etc.) and the discipling of nations. 

This Reformation will bring about a paradigm shift in the goal and purpose of the Church.  Most Evangelical and Pentecostal theologians see no purpose for the Church other than to win more souls to Christ so they are made ready for heaven.  Now we are receiving revolutionary, reformed thinking from the heart and mind of God.  The expanded goal and vision of the Third Reformation Church is to co-labor with Christ in His passionate desire for the fulfillment of Revelation 11:15:  “…there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!’”
