(In your) Facebook, Tweetie Birds & Life Beyond the Grave

Greetings all.

A number of folks have enquired as to why I am not writing anymore for these postings. I am, just not regularly for these mailings, more for Tweets & Facebook.

I especially like the “Tweets” since this format allows one to adhere to the Scriptural admonition “God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.” Tweets require one to stick to that format of 145 characters.

Then again I am admonished to: “Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this.” (Revelation 1)

So, I have included some of my recent rants & raves. They follow:

• Headline: 'We have to compete': GOP mulls path back to power.”  Suggestion...learn to serve & die to self-interest.

• A reminder about violence in America

This country was born at the end of a gun. Hence the 2nd Amendment. & "what we sow we reap.” Good & bad.

• The movie: Zero Dark Thirty heavy duty. Not a musical. If you are offended by "funny words," or waterboarding don't go. Well directed, acted, edited.

• In regard to torture: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

And then as we pray for Israel & the Middle East:

• PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has refused to recognize Israel’s right to exist. (Arutz-7)

• PRIME MINISTER UNSHAKEN BY OBAMA’S CRITICISMS: Sources close to Israel’s prime minister said Netanyahu brushed off U.S. President Obama’s recent derogatory comments – one of which was that “Israel doesn’t know what’s good for it.”

(Comment) : ‘Israel Doesn’t Know What Good for It...: "Wow, it's true. King Barackstar really does know what's best for everyone... in every country. I am truly in awe of someone who can run the Middle East from 5,000 miles away."

• IRAN SENDS JAILS US PASTOR FOR HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS: Pray for Pastor Abedini’s safety from a potential death sentence looming over him.

Pray for those who are suffering & in prison.

Some “seed thoughts:”

• Leadership always involves loneliness. That is the cost of it. A lonely company with few able to follow. Not the "pop Christianity" crowd.

(Comments) ”Never considered this, but thanks, Scott Ross, for the perspective.”

“You can say THAT again!”

• While God gives His gifts freely, He will require a strict accounting of them at the end of the road.(Tozer)

“Yikes!”

• We avoid the cemetery and continually refuse our own death. Have you had your “white funeral?" It is dying— being “baptized into His death.”

• Questions: Whatever became of repentance? Sin? The fear of God?

• (Comment) “If by repentance, you mean "sorry for consequences suffered"-it is still in circulation. If by repentance you mean actual change in behavior and direction, not so much.

Finally: We here at CBN are in the midst of a telethon entitled “Life Beyond the Grave.”

Thanks All,
Scott
