HEAVENLY STORY
There are many movies about near death experiences, but Corbin says he wanted to be a part of a movie about those left behind when someone goes to heaven. His latest movie, My Daddy Is In Heaven, is based on the true story about a young woman, Rebecca Crownover, whose husband dies suddenly.  Now a single mom to a young daughter, Becca struggles with life without her husband.  “There’s this message about overcoming tragedy in God,” says Corbin.  “This isn’t just a sweet story; it’s real and human.”  Corbin plays Becca’s father.  While preparing for his role, Corbin says he was connected to the movie because of it’s honesty.  “I got familiar with Rebecca’s story about her and her husband,” he says.  He says the movie is appropriate for all ages, although it might be too much for younger kids.  “It’s a wonderful story for them to learn about loss,” he says. “These are issues that people are going to have to deal with in every area of life.  The fact that this family is comforted by their faith and love in Christ is a wonderful way to affirm the goodness of life, even in the face of tragedy.”

With our society today, it is important to know that there is real hope.  “This story is about a family who loses someone,” says Corbin.  “But it applies to everyone.  Recently, there was a school shooting; that’s real-world pain for the families of 17 people, but there’s real-world hope, also. If we all get lost in the pain, then we’re doomed. You have to know there’s hope.”

Corbin doesn’t only perform in faith-based films.  “Shooting Christian films is like going back to the well.  If I’m going to act in a dark world, it’s nice to go back in the well, shine up my armor, get my weapon tight and go back out into the world.”  The movie releases on DVD on March 13.
