The President of the United States has a constitutional duty to "from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union."

President Obama delivers his eighth and final State of the Union address Tuesday. Although it may not exactly be must-see-TV (have you set your DVR?), it's a big deal to the Obama Administration and the president's team is working to make it the most interactive speech ever.

This White House has always embraced social media and it's using the occasion to expand its footprint. Look for a new White House Snapchat account that will feature behind the scenes images of the night.

The president's address will be streamed live on Youtube. Later in the week the president will also do sit down interviews in the East Room with three Youtube "stars" including "Missglamorazzi" and "sWooZie."

The White House sees it as a way to deliver the president's speech to people who don't typically watch it on traditional mediums.

The White House is also using technology called Genius to add context to the president's seven previous speeches. Users can pick a speech, click on highlighted text and learn more about how the president took action, how a circumstance improved or even what other people thought about it. Historians beware though, the context was added by the White House - don't expect to find anything critical. Click here to explore this and more.

So what will the president propose in his final address?

He won the White House on promises of change, a promise he delivered on so expect him to celebrate the many ways he's changed the nation (you decide for better or worse).

Gun control will definitely be a major focus.

He'll also focus on the future, not just his final year ahead, but the years beyond his presidency. Mr. Obama will make the case why his policies should persist while many of the Republican candidates for president are focused on unraveling it.
