Global warming is changing the daily lives of Americans and will only get worse, according to a government report released Tuesday.

"Corn producers in Iowa, oyster growers in Washington state, and maple syrup producers in Vermont are all observing climate-related changes that are outside of recent experience," the 1,100-page National Climate Assessment report stated.

"So, too, are coastal planners in Florida, water managers in the arid Southwest, city dwellers from Phoenix to New York, and native peoples on tribal lands from Louisiana to Alaska," the NCA report read.

The White House is expected to use the report as a basis to try to reduce the emissions of fossil fuels like coal, gas, and oil.

But Republicans and some Democrats have opposed many of those moves in the past, saying they cost jobs and hurt businesses.

Nevertheless, President Barack Obama said he'll use executive orders to accomplish his goals.
