The USDA is recalling about 1.8 million pounds of ground beef due to possible E. Coli contamination.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that at least 11 people in four states are sick with E. coli infections. Three people have been hospitalized.

Authorities have traced the tainted beef products to the Wolverine Packing Company in Detroit.

Officials said the beef was produced at the plant between March 31 and April 18.

E. coli can cause severe cramps, nausea, diarrhea, and other complications. Doctors say the best advice is to cook ground beef until it's well done.
