JERUSALEM, Israel -- Two Israeli homes were hit by rockets fired from the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, including one that was used as a nursery for infants. That rocket did not explode.

More than 20 rockets were launched at Israel on Wednesday, and by mid-morning Thursday another 13 rockets had hit Israel, including the ones that hit the homes.  Two of those were also intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome anti-missile defense system.

The Israeli army issued a statement saying the Air Force had struck 15 Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip overnight in response to the rocket fire including, "concealed rocket launchers, weapon storage facilities and terror activity sites."

Hamas has ramped up its rocket launching at Israel since terrorists kidnapped three Israeli teenagers three weeks ago.  Their bodies were found and buried earlier this week.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel would continue to "vigorously strike at Hamas members and infrastructures in Judea and Samaria" and act against Hamas in Gaza.
