Actor Jon Voight spoke out strongly against President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry at a pro-Israel rally in Las Vegas last month, during the height of Operation Protective Edge.

His remarks came the evening a Palestinian sniper in the Gaza Strip killed Major Dmitri Levitas, 36, a commander in the Armored Corps.

Voight said Obama and Kerry are both conveying the wrong message about Israel to the international community.

"They do not really have Israel's back covered as they say they do," he told participants at the rally. "Instead of telling Hamas to stop sending rockets into Israel aimed at its civilian population, they say Israel has to stop killing civilians."

Calling the administration's position "a travesty of justice," Voight said every patriotic American, Jew and non-Jew alike, should "not tolerate propaganda and lies about Israel being the aggressors and suppressors of the Palestinians."
