President Barack Obama's job approval rating dropped to 41 percent this month, his lowest since taking the White House.

The drop is causing some Democrats to worry about the president's impact on upcoming midterm elections.

According to a new Washington Post-ABC news poll, a majority of voters want a Republican Congress to help keep the president's agenda in check.

Only 42 percent approve of how Obama is handling the economy, and 37 percent approve of how he is implementing the Affordable Care Act.

A low 34 percent approve of his handling of the crisis in Ukraine.
