Trump Campaign Changing Course?

This week the Trump campaign parted ways with campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

The move came just one day before Donald Trump met with around one thousand evangelical leaders from across the country, signifying a calculated move within the campaign and what could be a change of course.

With slipping poll numbers and some concerns about the way Trump has handled recent news events, David Uberti with the Columbia Journalism Review believes this could be a turning point for the Trump campaign.

"I think his firing really signals both Trump's campaign and also Republicans are in agreement that he has to at least modify his strategy, make it more establishment friendly," he told CBN News. "I think this would be some sort of early signal that the Trump campaign would take a more establishment route going forward."

Some news outlets are reporting Trump's children played a major role in deciding to fire Lewandowski. There are also reports he didn't get along with campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

All along Manafort has been tasked with running the Republican National Convention for Trump.
