WASHINGTON -- President-elect Donald Trump has a busy day on tap as his team goes full steam ahead with the transition of power.
On Thursday, Trump will hold several crucial meetings to help decide his future cabinet positions.
During the first of a series of daily press conferences, the Trump transition team, including Communications Director Jason Miller and RNC Communications Director Sean Spicer, updated the press on the future president's schedule.
On Thursday, Trump will meet with a host of political figures, including former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, retired Gen. Jack Keane, Navy Adm. Michael Rogers and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
Haley endorsed Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., during the campaign but is now reportedly on the list for a potential position in the new administration.
The incoming president will also meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. According to Trump's staff, this would be his 32nd meeting with a world leader.
The Trump team is also doubling down on their anti-lobbyist approach to leadership.
Touting a premise that "looks forward," they are requiring anyone working in the administration to show paperwork proving they have been terminated from lobbying firms. They are also enforcing a five-year ban from lobbying once leaving service.
Vice President-elect Mike Pence will also meet with leaders on the Capitol Hill, including Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
