Trump Disbands White House Advisory Councils

Washington – President Trump is ending two White House advisory councils staffed by corporate chief executives.

Trump tweeted "rather than putting pressure on the businesspeople of the Manufacturing Council & Strategy & Policy Forum, I am ending both. Thank you all!"

This move by the commander-in-chief is after Campbell Soup CEO Denise Morrison resigned from the panel over comments about racism made by Trump. Morrison is the seventh person this week to resign from a pair of major advisory panels in the wake of the president's controversial remarks about last weekend's violence in Charlottesville, Virginia.
