On Friday, thousands of officers from across the country attended an eight-hour wake for Ramos.
The 40 year-old married father of two was described as a compassionate man. His commanding officer said he kept Bible study books in his locker.
Gunman Ismaaiyl Brinsley had posted online about high-profile killings of unarmed black men by police. He killed himself after the shooting.
