Keystone Pipeline Hits Roadblock in Nebraska

The Keystone Pipeline projects is facing another roadblock Thursday.

On Wednesday, a Nebraska judge struck down the law giving the pipeline a green light to proceed through the state.

The judge ruled the law improperly gave an energy company power to force landowners to sell their property for the project.

The ruling also said eminent domain powers should have been made by the Nebraska Public Service Commission.

Wednesday's decision invalidates Gov. Dave Heineman's approval of the route for the pipeline that would carry oil from Canada to refineries in Texas.

The state plans to appeal the ruling.

The Obama administration has stalled approval for the pipeline for several years.
