Police Search Gun Owner's Car with No Explanation

An unarmed gun owner is still looking for answers after a bizarre traffic stop in Maryland during the Christmas holiday season.

John Filippidish said a Maryland Transportation Authority police officer stopped him and held him for hours as he searched the car and luggage for the gun.

The Tampa Tribune reports business owner Filippidish is licensed to carry a concealed firearm in Florida. He decided to leave his gun home while traveling to New Jersey.

He has no idea how the officer learned about his concealed-carry permit.
