American Christians are showing their support for the Jewish state at the the ninth annual Christians United for Israel summit.

Thousands of Christian supporters from across the country gathered in Washington, D.C., Sunday through Tuesday, under a message of solidarity for Israel.

Featured speakers include CUFI founder John Hagee and Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer.

One of the major topics from Monday's summit was dedicated to dispelling myths about Israel, particularly a recent media and political movement away from American support of Israel.

"The American people see through the lies and the distortions in media coverage," said Malcolm Hoenlein, vice chairman of Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. "You cannot believe what you hear, you cannot believe what you read, you cannot believe what you see."

"You know what the real difference is? Hamas exists to kill, sometimes Israel has to kill to exist," Hoenlein told the audience.

The panel was moderated by CBN President Michael Little. CBN News Terrorism Analyst Erick Stakelbeck was also a featured speaker at this year's summit.

The evening ended with a united celebration between Jews and their American Christian supporters.
