Pro-Lifers Challenge NH Abortion Clinic Buffer Zone

Pro-life supporters are challenging New Hampshire's abortion clinic buffer zone.

The Alliance Defending Freedom has filed a law suit on behalf of several abortion opponents.

And this isn't new ground for the ADF. The conservative Christian law group filed the Massachusetts suit that led to the U.S. Supreme Court striking down that state's buffer zone last month.

This latest suit contends that New Hampshire's law violates the free speech rights of abortion protesters, and unfairly allows clinic escorts to talk to women within the 25-foot buffer zone.

A spokesman for New Hampshire's Gov. Maggie Hassan says she believes the law is narrower than the Massachusetts law and will survive a court test.
