Tens of thousands of Kentucky Derby fans will flood Louisville this weekend, pumping millions into the local economy. But some of that spending is going toward commercial sex.

To combat the problem, law enforcement will be monitoring online ads for so-called escorts, which typically spike during Derby week.

Anti-trafficking groups in Kentucky noted that there were a growing number of calls from Kentucky to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center last year.

The hotline got 345 calls from the state in 2013, a 105 percent increase from the year before.

Gretchen Hunt, an attorney with the Kentucky Association of Sexual Assault Programs, talked more about what anti-trafficking advocates and law enforcement are doing to prevent trafficking this weekend, on CBN Newswatch, May 2.
