Lackluster Job Report Concerns Analysts

The U.S. economy added 113,000 jobs in January, according to a report the Labor Department released Friday.

That may sound like a lot, but many analysts say it's weaker then they expected. It's the second month in a row for a lackluster job report and it makes some experts wonder if the cold weather has anything to do with the downward trend.

"The extreme cold, the polar vortex, could that be freezing the job market for a couple months in a row or is this a real slowdown?" Rick Newman from Yahoo Finance said.

Meanwhile, the unemployment rate dropped to 6.6 percent -  the lowest since October 2008.

But economists said that number can be deceiving. More than 3.5 million Americans have been jobless for 26 weeks or more. Many stopped looking for work, meaning they are no longer counted in the official reports.
