A Texas battle over whether or not keep a pregnant woman on life support is drawing national attention.

The family of Marlise Munoz, the pregnant woman who's been on life support for over a month,  wants the hospital to unhook the machines keeping her body alive, even though her unborn baby is close to 21 weeks.

The hospital says it's following state law in keeping her on life support until the viability of the fetus can be determined.  However, the family's attorneys are challenging the hospital in an attempt to honor the family's wishes.

Both supporters of the Munoz and protestors have taken a stand outside John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

While some think it's unethical to keep the mom alive, pro-life supporters say the hospital is doing the right thing by protecting the unborn child.
