In a move to appease religious movie critics, Paramount Pictures is adding a disclaimer to their promotional material for the new movie, "Noah," starring Russell Crowe.

"The film is inspired by the story of Noah. While artistic license has been taken, we believe that this film is true to the essence, values, and integrity of a story that is a cornerstone of faith for millions of people worldwide. The biblical story of Noah can be found in the book of Genesis," the message states.

Jerry Johnson, president of the National Religious Broadcasters, also praised the film's faithfulness to the main elements of sin, judgment, and restoration.

Johnson said "Noah" is better than many of today's films and he believes Christians can separate fact from fiction.

"Noah" is due in theaters March 28.
