God-fearing daredevil Nik Wallenda wowed Chicago and the world Sunday night with two hair-raising skyscraper crossings.
First, Wallenda walked up a steep 454-foot incline from the Marina City West Tower to the top of a nearby building.
From there, he walked 94 feet between two towers blindfolded a whopping 543 feet from the ground, all without wearing a harness.
The event was broadcast live on the Discovery Channel. Producers used a 10-second delay for the broadcast in case anything went wrong.
Thousands of fans cheered Wallenda on as he completed the walks.
"One word simply tells it: amazing. Simply amazing," Chicago resident Tarran Williams said.
Wallenda plans more amazing high-wire walks in the future.
