"Take quick action to prevent California from becoming the Suicide State." That's the warning in an email from SaveCalifornia's "Campaign for Children and Families."

"From Genesis to Revelation we see God's unnegotiable principles, supporting protection for innocent human life from conception to natural death, and that's what people who go with the Bible should support," Randy Thomasson of SaveCalifornia.com told CBN News.

The group is speaking out against a state bill, called End of Life Option, which promotes physician-assisted suicide.

Could doctors ultimately be promoting death instead of life? Randy Thomasson with Save California answered this question and more, click play to watch.

SaveCalifornia believes evidence shows assisted suicide is likely headed for the California Assembly floor, even though the bill has stalled twice in the Assembly Health Committee.

The organization said "legislative maneuvers planned by liberals" have bypassed the committee process.

It reports the national pro-assisted suicide group, Compassion & Choices, held a July conference call with its followers in California to discuss how to move the bill forward in August.

In its email, SaveCalifornia said the assisted suicide group's California campaign manager talked about expecting a vote on the Assembly floor this year.

"We think we still have a very strong chance to pass this bill and get it to the governor's desk, and hopefully get him to sign it into law this year," Toni Broaddus said in the conference call, according to the email.

Compassion & Choices announced this week a new plan for the bill to become law.

SaveCalifornia also cites a San Diego town meeting, where the current speaker of the Assembly said she wants assisted suicide to be voted on the Assembly floor.

"We've identified the deciding votes on the floor of the California Assembly," Thomasson said. "Everybody can help. Californians can call; Californians can rally. We're fighting to protect the world from a California suicide state because it would be a tremendous bad influence. This bill can be stopped if people will rise up now."

Thomasson believes this is "winable" in his words. He says those who are pro-life from the cradle to the grave can help. He also has said many times as California goes so goes the nation - and is encouraging people across the nation to act and pray to do their part to promote life.

Californians Against Assisted Suicide is also one of the primary organizations taking a stand against assisted suicide in California. It's reaching out to assembly members before a possible vote.
