A grand jury indicted all six officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old Baltimore man who died of injuries he suffered while in police custody.

The most serious charges range from second degree "depraved heart" murder to assault.

On April 12, Gray, a young black man, suffered a deadly spinal injury after police handcuffed, shackled, and placed him head-first into a van.

His death spawned protests in Baltimore that gave way to violence and looting.

Meanwhile, attorneys for the officers say the police are victims of an "overzealous prosecution."
