Trump Meets with Mexico's President Ahead of Immigration Speech

Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump met with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto today ahead of an important immigration speech.

Mexicans widely despise Trump for saying that Mexico was sending criminals and rapists across the border. They also don't like his plan for building a border wall that he says Mexico would pay for.

Pena Nieto says he now believes in dialogue in order to promote Mexico's interests. Hillary Clinton has also been extended an invitation from Nieto but so far has given no response.

At the start of his presidential campaign, Trump said during his primary campaign that the roughly 11 million people living in the U.S. illegally should be deported.

Wednesday's face-to-face meeting will come hours before Trump travels to Arizona to deliver an important speech clarifying his stance on immigration, a stance his son, Donald Trump Jr., told CNN has not changed.

"His policy has been the same for the last you know six, seven, eighth months," Trump's son said.

Meanwhile, there's more scrutiny of Clinton. New, soon-to-be released emails could show how her response to the 2012 Benghazi attack was bungled. This comes after Clinton repeatedly claimed that she had already turned over all of her government-related emails.

The FBI says it will release information on its investigation of Clinton's email server. Plus, she must answer questions from the watchdog group, Judicial Watch, under oath.

Meanwhile, some Democrats and a New York Times editorial say Clinton must go further than she has, and completely cut ties from the Clinton Foundation.

"Achieving true distance from the foundation is not only necessary to ensure its effectiveness, it is an ethical imperative for Mrs. Clinton," a Times editorial said.

Many polls show the race tightening, with Trump cutting into Clinton's lead. But she still leads in swing states and has an easier road to win the electoral college. But with the debates yet to come, the race is still far from over.
