Pastor Jim Watson suddenly dropped dead after singing "In His Presence" at church last Sunday.

Watson pastored Crossroads Family Fellowship in Clemont, Florida, and was loved by many.

Watson told his wife, Linda, that the Holy Spirit prompted him to sing "In His Presence" one Sunday. He suffered a massive heart attack as soon as he finished singing and dropped dead where he was standing.

A family friend told Charisma News he died from a sudden heart attack.

Watson was known for his love of worship.

"His passion was worship and serving the Lord, whether it be in church or his quiet time with God," his obituary says. "He had the heart of God for people and to see them ensure their salvation."

His death shocked family and friends, but they also know he is with the Lord.

"Pastor Jim was a true gentleman and oozed the love of Jesus on everyone he met," said Pastor Steven Halford, a family friend of the Watsons. "He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, pastor and of course, friend. He took me in and loved me and gave me a chance when few others did. I love you, Pastor Jim. I'll be seeing you."
