Principal Goes on Tirade Against Pro-Lifers!

A principal at a high school in Indiana recently attempted to kick a group of pro-life protesters from the sidewalk of his school's campus.

On November 18, 2016, members from "Created Equal," a social action movement that seeks to end abortion, were demonstrating with pro-life signs outside of South Side High School in Fort Wayne.

During the peaceful protest, Principal Carlton Mable yelled at the protesters, telling them, "...Please move your signs or I will kick them off."

The incident was captured on video and posted on Youtube by the pro-life group.

The principal can then be heard yelling not to approach "my kids" and to get off "my property," before ultimately throwing several signs into a busy street.

"Principal Mable's behavior is another example of what's occurring on high school and college campuses across the country," protest organizers said. "Attempts to censor us will not succeed."

Police were called and told the principal the protesters had a right to assemble.

Thomas More Society, a national not-for-profit law firm dedicated to restoring respect in law for life, family and religious liberty, is representing Created Equal.

Attorneys from the Thomas More Society sent a letter to the Fort Wayne Public School Board asking for an apology for the principal's alleged conduct.

The letter details how Mable denied Created Equal and its members the right to peacefully assemble and speak on a public sidewalk adjacent to the school.

"Principal Mable trampled on rights that are enshrined in the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, Articles 2, 3, 4 and 9 of the Indiana Constitution, and are fiercely protected by the United States Supreme Court. Our clients insist on the respect to which they are entitled. We seek written apologies from Principal Mable and School Board Superintendent Dr. Wendy Robinson, assurances from the School Board that this will not happen again, and guarantees from the City of Fort Wayne that it will continue to uphold free speech rights."

CBN News contacted the school district, which declined comment on the incident. Created Equal could not be reached for comment.
