Thanks to a Secret Santa in Tulsa, Oklahoma parents who were delinquent on layaway payments at Walmart can now give their loved ones Christmas gifts.

One anonymous giver made it possible for 162 customers to bring home gifts to their families and even blessed them with a $50 Walmart gift card.

"When customers quietly pay off others' layaway items, we're reminded how good people can be. The joy that comes from these transactions extends well beyond dollars and cents. We're honored to be a small part of these random acts of kindness," said Walmart Corporate Spokeswoman Leslee Wright.

Shoppers received an email through Walmart saying that their accounts were paid up and that they could pick up their items, according Fox 23 News in Tulsa.

Many of the items were Christmas gifts for children and other loved ones.

The secret Santa also donated a generous amount to the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program.

The value of the Angel Tree donation, the $50 gift cards, and the layaway payments totaled between $45,000 and $50,000.

Meanwhile, a secret Santa in Pennsylvania paid for $166,000 worth of layaway items at three Walmart locations.

The anonymous donor, named "Santa B" paid $74,000 in layaways at a store in Dauphin County, $46,000 at a Lebanon County location, and another $46,000 at a location in Everett.

"The checks all came from the same individual," Wright told the Lebanon Daily News. "We don't know who he is or where he's from. We enjoy the mystery and enjoy the excitement he brings to an awful lot of people."
