Annette Garcia, President and General Manager of Son Broadcasting Network, has died.

Garcia took the reins at Son Broadcasting Network in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after the death of her father, Belarmino "Blackie" Gonzalez in 2008.

Founded in 1971, Son Broadcasting Network is a family of radio and television stations working together to bring hope, encouragement, and entertainment to New Mexico.

Garcia was also on the Board of Directors of the National Religious Broadcasters since 2012 and served as Second Vice Chairman on the Executive Committee in 2015. She also served on the TV Standing Committee for over a decade.

In a letter to friends and family posted to Facebook in March, Garcia said she had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early February. She had reportedly been undergoing treatment in Mexico when she passed away on July 28.
