More than 4,000 people from across West Virginia turned out for a prayer rally with the Rev. Franklin Graham at the state's Capitol building in Charleston.

Graham is traveling to every state in the country ahead of the general election this fall. West Virginia is the 22nd stop on his Decision America Tour

"I don't believe this country can be turned around without God's help. The Republicans can't do it. The Democrats can't do it. The only way it can be done is with God," Graham told reporters following the rally.

Graham said God needs to be brought back into the political process and encouraged those in attendance to pray for their country and leaders.

"We're in trouble spiritually, racially, economically, politically," Graham said as he welcomed the crowd. "America is at a crossroads. Who we elect to lead us is key for the future of this country."

"I believe this could be the most important election, I know, in my lifetime," he said. "But there's a decision that all of us have to make that is even more important."

Graham's next stop is Jefferson City, Missouri, on May 17.
