When a Maryland school bus erupted in flames, the driver jumped into action, saving the life of every child on board.

The cause of the fire is still a mystery. It threatened the lives of all 20 children who were on their way to Glenarden Woods Elementary School.

Fazlul Kabir witnessed the inferno, and said he was amazed at bus driver Reneita Smith's actions.

"Not only Reneita took each one of the 20 kids from the bus one by one, but also went into the bus again to check if everyone was out, while it was burning," he wrote in the post.

When Kabir asked Smith why she had jumped into action so quickly, she he had a simple response.

"I am a mom of two kids. It's my job to save them," she said.

Smith and all 20 children escaped unharmed and returned safely to their homes.
