An Atlanta mother says it is a miracle her 6-year-old daughter survived after being shot in the neck.

Princess Jackson is recovering at Grady Memorial Hospital. She was sitting on her bed watching television Sunday morning when she was hit with stray bullet from a drive-by shooting.

A neighbor who witnessed the incident from her front porch said, "I was so scared and I was frozen, I couldn't budge and I was just standing there. I would have been right out in it if I didn't have to pack my bag on the porch."

Police reports indicate the bullet came from outside through a window and an interior wall.

Jackson's mother, Amika Latimer, spoke with Atlanta's FOX 5 News.

Latimer said, "It is a miracle that the bullet went in and came out because something like that usually hits major arteries."

Atlanta police recovered more than a half dozen shell casings in the yard following the Sunday morning shooting and three bullets inside a car parked in the driveway of the home.

A neighbor's surveillance camera captured the image of a vehicle driving up and down the street. But it was not clear enough for investigators to record the license plate number.

Officers are still looking for the shooting suspect.

Latimer said, "Everybody reaps what they sow. So, it is just a matter of time. But I am not even thinking about that person. I am just glad I still have my baby here."

Princess Jackson is still hospitalized as of Wednesday but recovering. The Sunday incident forced her to miss her kindergarten graduation.
