Prosecutors say two teenage boys were making a deal with the devil when they sexually assaulted and then killed a 15-year-old girl from Houston.

Corriann Cervantes' body was found Feb. 8 in an empty apartment. Harris County prosecutor John Jordan said signs of the occult were found in the apartment and an upside down crucifix was carved into the girl's stomach.

Jose E. Reyes, 17, was reportedly instructing an unnamed 16-year-old boy on how to sell his soul to the devil. Reyes said he had already done so.

"They discussed the fact that Mr. Reyes had sold his soul to the devil, and if they ended up killing this teenager, this would allow the 16-year-old to also sell his soul to the devil," Assistant Harris County Attorney John Jordan said.

The younger teen knew the girl through school. Both teenagers are charged with capital murder.
