Slamming doors, survival tactics, roses, and engagement rings - these are thoughts that occur when one thinks of Reality TV.

But some reality stars have teamed up for a greater purpose: helping children dealing with life-threatening illnesses by working with a nonprofit storybook village, called Give Kids the World.

Give Kids the World Village is a 70-acre nonprofit resort located in Celebration, Florida. It was built in 1989 specifically for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

"With the help of many generous individuals, corporations, and partnering wish-granting organizations, Give Kids The World has welcomed more than 130,000 families from all 50 states and over 75 countries," the organization's website says.

The resort provides accommodations and access to the resort by partnering with "wish granting" organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Hearts of Reality.

Hearts of Reality offers a weekend-long charity event for Give Kids the World where some of the biggest names in reality TV join up to welcome hundreds of families from all over the world.

Cast members use their fan base to raise funds and awareness to support families for a cost-free stay at the event.

The 2014 Hearts of Reality kicked off on July 31, surpassing the goal to raise $65,000 by reaching $100,000.

Participants involved with the charity ranged from stars featured in Survivor, The Amazing Race, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Big Brother, Celebrity Apprentice, and more.

With Give Kids the World drawsg a strong focus on faith and provides hope for healing. CBN Reporter Angela Zatopek and former contestant on NBC's "Ready For Love" also attended.
