LAS VEGAS – Chris Hahn turned 27 years old this week, just a couple of days after the mass shooting in Las Vegas. He has reason to celebrate, because he was at the concert. And when the shooting began, he found himself in a sea of panic.

"The first thing I thought was to call my Mom. Honestly, the first reaction was just to have her on the phone and say, 'I love you,' and just to talk to someone when all this went down," Chris told CBN News.

As he ran for cover with thousands of other terrified souls, his Mom began to pray.

"She didn't cry. She didn't panic. She just said, 'It's alright. We're going to pray. You are going to be protected. We are going to ask God for His protection,' Chris recalled. "And at that moment, I'm sure she was terrified, and you could hear the gunshots ringing out. And she just started to pray with me, 'We need your protection right now, Lord. We need you to protect him!'"

Chris immediately found a sense of peace, and rallied for those around him. As it was all unfolding, Chris suddenly remembered a call from his sister a few weeks ago.

"She said, 'I just feel like this really strong urge to pray for you, and God is telling me you are going to be under fire.' She actually said those words! And, and at the time, I thought that could be a lot of things."

God only knows the details of what really happened in Las Vegas, but this bright young real estate agent plans to trust God, and keep going.

"This isn't humanly possible - there are other things involved, there is evil in this world. It's just (a matter of) watching God come into play now and helping people heal."
