An exciting movement is burgeoning in California's Silicon Valley – one of eternal significance. It's a relatively new initiative called Transforming the Bay with Christ (TBC).

This "holistic Gospel movement" by Christian members of the business community and tech industry, along with faith leaders, is designed to make make a difference in the San Francisco Bay area through social compassion and service.

One video on TBC's website shares their passion:

"What if God has been preparing you and me to be that small seed of faith?" the female narrator asks. "What if He's spotted you, the brilliant entrepreneur, to seek more than green and greed but to seek the common good? What if He's appointed an educator to change more than test scores but change young lives?"

"What if He's planted you, the government official who wants to put the 'servant' and the 'public' back into public servant? What if God has been preparing this great area to receive that seed? This valley is fertile, don't you know," she says.

TBC leaders say God has brought people from all over the world to the Bay Area, noting that of the nearly 8 million residents, almost 5 million are either un-churched or have no religious affiliation at all. They argue it is the responsibility of the Church and its members to show them the real meaning of life through Christ.

"Let us take this Gospel out," the narrator declares in the TBC video. "Jesus has come to us. Let us take Jesus to the people. We are not done. God is not done. Oh, no. He is just getting started."
