UK's Tony Blair: Radical Islam Biggest Global Threat
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said the United States and Europe should set aside their differences with China and Russia and focus on the growing threat of radical Islam.
Blair said he believes that issue should be at the top of the global agenda.
He noted that many in the West seem to be "curiously resistant" to face up to a force that "is undermining the possibility of peaceful co-existence in an era of globalization."
Blair wants the United States, Europe, and others to support the new government in Egypt against its opponents in the Muslim Brotherhood. He believes the future of the region hinges on the fate of Egypt.
Blair serves as the Middle East envoy for the Quartet -- the United States, European Union, United Nations, and Russia.
