UN Urges Syria to Allow Critical Aid Through

Thousands of Syrians are without food as heavy clashes have disrupted the delivery of humanitarian aid in some regions.

The United Nations is calling on both sides in the Syrian civil war to allow aid to the city of Yarmouk, near Damascus.

For about a year, regime forces have been stopping aid to the area, meaning no food or medicine has gotten in.

More than 100 people have died from hunger or hunger-related illness.
