Sudan's Islamic government shut down a 500-member church in the capital city of Khartoum.

Morning Star News reports security agents padlocked the doors of the Sudan Pentecostal Church in late August.

One person said church leaders are worried the state might try to confiscate and sell the building.

The church has been in existence for more than 20 years.

Morning Star reports this is the latest in a wave of church closures, confiscations, and demolitions in Khartoum.
