Four Dead After Canada School Shooting
A gunman opened fire at a high school and a second location in a small community in Canada leaving four dead and at least two injured.
La Loche Community School, located in the remote village of northern Saskatchewan, remained on lockdown until police arrived on the scene.
"This is every parent's worst nightmare," said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. "The community is reeling."
Trudeau, who is currently in Switzerland, said that a suspect was in custody.
Kevin Janvier told The Associated Press that his 23-year old daughter Marie, a teacher, was shot dead by the gunman. He said police told him that the gunman first shot two of his own siblings before killing his daughter.
"He shot two of his brothers at his home and made his way to the school," he said.
The shooter was arrested outside of the school, but at this time police declined to release more details, saying the investigation is in its early stages.
It is not yet clear if the shooter knew the teacher or the other students.
