An un-named man is suing a church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for publishing his baptism announcement, saying the notice put his life in danger.

The former Muslim from Syria, who identified only as John Doe, converted to Christianity in 2012.

He said the First Presbyterian Church baptized him in private, assuring him his conversion and baptism would be kept secret. Apostasy is punishable by death in Syria.

However, radical Muslims noticed the online announcement when he traveled back to Syria. The man said he was attacked, kidnapped, and tortured for days before escaping.
