Syrian Christian leaders are asking the United States to help preserve Christianity in the war-torn country.

Hundreds of thousands of Syrian Christians have already been driven from their homes by radical Islamic rebels, and the churches and monasteries in their communities have been destroyed.

The delegation of Syrian clergy also appealed for more U.S. aid for refugees.
