Is Your Reservation Confirmed?

Most people have good intentions when they resolve problems or challenges in life. Sadly, they either want to do it their way or try several alternative methods. When we first consider a solution to a situation or problem, it may seem too great or too easy. It may require some sacrifice on our part that we are not willing to do. Sometimes we figure on another way when we should have listened to our heart to begin with.

When you book a flight or schedule a trip, there is usually a confirmation number. You generally get the date and time and are told where to pick up your tickets at the time of departure. No one ever says, "come anytime day or night, we will make sure you have a seat." There would be a lot of under-booked and over-booked flights. Reservations don't work that way.

What if you contacted an airline or cruise line and asked for a ticket to somewhere in the world, anywhere at all. You ask the person to choose the cheapest way to go and any means of getting there. You are not likely to come away with a ticket because you haven't narrowed down the choices for them.

There are some decisions no one can make for you. It is necessary to have a plan. There is a journey you will take someday that has cost you nothing. It will be the last trip you ever make. It can be the grandest place ever, but only if you have gotten your reservation secured in advance.

Is there a catch? No, it is a free trip and you only have to accept it as a free gift.

How can a plan be so simple?  It has been planned for you by the Lord Jesus Christ. You do not sign anything, you just accept it by faith.

Jesus paid the price for you to come and live with Him in Heaven when your life here is over. He purchased the way for you by sacrificing His life on the cross and shedding His precious blood to redeem mankind. He asks that you repent (give up your sinful life and accept Him and His way of living in exchange), so you can inherit eternal salvation.

You will also obtain fringe benefits here on earth as an extra bonus -- like healing, peace, and joy. You have a confirmed reservation in Heaven. No one can take it from you.

It will be a chance to see the One who created you and gave you life here on earth. You will walk on streets of gold and see glassy seas. You will observe gates and walls made of the finest gems. You will have your own mansion prepared for you. You will sit down at a feast like none you have ever experienced. You will never get sick, tired, or annoyed with anyone. You will live on forever with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Unfortunately, if you don’t reserve and confirm your reservation to Heaven, you will still go on a trip at the end of this life. It will be to the lake of everlasting fire, which is called Hell. No one is trying to get there, but rejecting Jesus Christ will automatically send you to that place of everlasting torment.

Please confirm your reservation today by accepting the Lord as your Savior and give up a life of sin to enjoy an abundant life here. Then, you can enter that Heavenly kingdom, your final destination where there will be joy forevermore. Jesus is knocking on your heart's door today. Will you let Him in? Please get your reservation.

"He said to them, 'Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.' Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.' " ( , NIV)

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If any of you hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with you. And you will eat with me." ( , NIV)
