A Mother's Challenge

God loves moms and He wants them to experience His great love. They have the choice to seek the Lord and trust Him for every need or not. He has unlimited resources and longs to hear the requests of those who have faith in Him for the smallest to largest concerns.

states, “I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” (NLT)

Mothers face many challenges every day from the many stresses this world has to offer. It is difficult to make sure the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of their children are met.

At the end of a day, mothers can be worn out. The challenge is always there to dig deep within their hearts and apply the Word of God to each of life’s situations. The truth is that our faith in the Lord will continually be our strength during the hard times.

We send our little ones off to school and mothers either work at home or at a job. It has been said many times before, “a mother’s work is never done.” Between dishes, laundry, dusting, vacuuming, homework with the children, the list goes on and on. It can be overwhelming managing the day-to-day issues and yet our focus should be to train our children in the love of the Lord too. As mothers, we must continue to model the Godly values we want them to learn.

As children watch Godly mothers lean on the Lord, they too will understand that the lifestyle of calling on God, all the while trusting in Him, is the only way to go.

says, “I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.” (NLT)

The reality of it all is that there are mothers who don’t have a personal relationship with God. Many of them are single moms who must carry the normal everyday situations and yet have the financial stresses of providing for their families.

The Good News is that God is always listening and waiting for you to call out to Him. He is there to hear the cries of your heart. It is as easy as believing that Jesus is the Son of God who died for your sins and to ask Him to forgive you. Invite the Lord into your life and find a Bible-believing church to attend with your children.

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (TLB)

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (NIV)

The choice is yours. The blessings can be yours too.

says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart: do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do and he will show you which path to take.” (NLT)
