"The First Time I Sang to God ..."

I felt so happy because I had never sang to God.  I began to sing and jump.” -- Allison

Nine-year old Allison had never seen anything like it, a place where kids could sing and dance!   Allison’s aunt, who goes to the church, had invited her niece.

“My aunt had talked to me about Jesus before but I really didn’t know much about him,” recounts Allison.

But all that changed after Allison’s first visit to the Orphan’s Promise supported ministry at the church.

On her second visit, Allison watched the Superbook Bible story “He is Risen.”

That was the day she became a Christian.

Allison says, “I prayed and it felt like Jesus was holding me and that He would take care of me!”

Even at nine-years-old, Allison knew it was important for her to tell others about Jesus.

“I told my mom and friends that heaven and hell are real,” Allison shares.

Allison then invited her mom to the church, where she prayed to become a Christian too!

“I felt so happy when my mom accepted Jesus,” Allison explains.  “I don´t want her to be lost.”

It’s only been a month since Allison started coming to the program and already she’s  invited other friends to come to watch Superbook too.  And those friends are coming to know Jesus too!

Allison says excitedly, “Thanks Orphan´s Promise for being here for me and thanks for helping me know Jesus!”
