The Swedish NGO Individuell Människohjälp (Individual Relief) has released a new video telling Swedes to accept the inevitable -- that Sweden will never be the same again because mass immigration has created a "new country."
The group IM describes itself as "a development organization fighting and exposing poverty and exclusion." Their video tries to convince Swedes to accept the "irreversible change" that Third World immigration has brought to Sweden.
But it's not at all clear that Swedes will accept irreversible change. Some of this change has included skyrocketing rates of crime, including rape and untenable welfare costs.
Support for the right-wing Sweden Democrats has surged. The head of the Sweden Democrats told Reuters the party hoped to win a quarter of voters in the 2018 election with a call for a total ban on new asylum seekers.
I have done several stories from Sweden and it has one of the most acute cases of cultural self-hatred in Europe, mostly among the Left and establishment types. Mona Sahlin, a former leader of the Social Democrats said she hated everything Swedish and that Swedes don't have "a culture, an identity, a history."
Former Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt told Swedish TV that Sweden belongs to immigrants and not to native Swedes. He also claimed that Sweden's borders are invented and imaginary, and that Swedes are uninteresting as an ethnic group.
What makes this strange is how proud Swedes are of their nation's achievements. Swedes think of themselves as a humanitarian superpower and the makers of some of the best products in the world. But political correctness, which tries to control Swedes with an iron hand, has made pride in Swedish culture the equivalent of racism.
