Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem

10-02-2008

In Psalm 122:6, the Bible commands believers around the world to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem."

This Sunday, October 6, millions of believers will be heeding that call to prayer through one of the most extensive prayer efforts in history -- the "Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem."

Jointly chaired by Robert Stearns of Eagles Wings Ministries and Pastor Jack Hayford of Church on the Way, it has grown exponentially since it began in 2002.

Early Thursday morning in Jerusalem, with the Temple Mount in the background, we talked with Stearns about the Day of Prayer and the need to pray for the city of Jerusalem, particularly at this time in Israel's history.
