Not all romantic comedies and love story dramas are created equal.

In fact, it can be tricky trying to find a movie you've not seen that focuses more on defining what love means rather than showing risque bedroom scenes.

Here’s a list of classic romantic movies that are good, clean fun.

Jane Austen is still the queen of romantic fiction. Her first work, Sense and Sensibility, was made into a critically acclaimed film starring Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant and Alan Rickman. Though Keira Knightley's Pride & Prejudice is a close rival, Sense and Sensibility remains the best in Austen films.

A ladies man, David Larrabee (William Holden) doesn't notice his chauffeur's doting daughter (played by Audrey Hepburn) until she returns to the family's estate after a trip to Paris. In an effort to disrupt the affair, David's elder brother (Humphrey Bogart) attempts to woo her away.

Socialite Ellie Andrews (Claudette Colbert) runs away from her powerful father to get married. On the run, she meets Peter Warne (Clark Gable), a reporter who's secretly trying to get her exclusive story. This black and white classic is simply one of the best.

Ever After posterEver After: A Cinderella Story (1998)
