Jesus Culture's "Make Us One" Is the Worship Song We Need Right Now

"Make Us One", and its album origin - Love Has a Name, offers more than just new worship music. It's a heartfelt prayer from Chris Quilala and Jesus Culture that has the power to affect real change.

"Every day we are faced with negativity in media and in the world," Quilala says. "It's so important for us, the Church, to be a light in the darkness and a beacon of hope and joy. Love Has a Name is all about declaring who God is. It's a strong proclamation of His name, the Name above every other name."

In a new YouTube post, Quilala shares the hope behind "Make Us One", that "we would lay down any offenses, set aside any walls, and come together. Because we know that when we do come together, something powerful happens."

Quilala goes on to remind us of the convicting words found in :

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. (New Living Translation)

The Story behind Jesus Culture's "Make Us One"

"Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples." ( , NLT)

Division thrives where love doesn't abide. And if we're honest, division often finds a foothold in the Church. We should be mindful of that and do something about it, letting forgiveness to mend fences.

Our world needs love. And 'love has a name', one the Church knows well. Let's live like we do: letting go of offenses, breaking down walls, and allowing love's true name to 'make us one'.
