Giving What They Have to Help Others In Need

CBN partner Judy comes from a long line of musicians. It’s no surprise that she chose music as a profession.

Judy shares, “My dad being a pastor's son and growing up in the church, you can't help but not love music. I started teaching piano in junior high school and I love the relationship I have with my students.”

Another area Judy is passionate about is giving to CBN. She and her husband Don have been partners for more than thirty years.

Don says, “The International outreach of CBN is simply amazing.”

Judy says, “You hear these stories about people that don't even have clean water, where they have to walk so many miles and carry the heavy water. You see so many needs and we want to help people.”

Judy and her husband have even volunteered with CBN and Operation Blessing to help feed people and rebuild homes after hurricane Katrina.”

Judy recalls, “We got to clean the floors and build a new part of their new church for the young people.”

Don remembers, “We get to meet people who were grateful for what CBN did in New Orleans, the locals that is.  It was really fantastic.”

The couple knows they can’t volunteer everywhere and so they’re glad that CBN is sending the gospel out to the rest of the world.

Judy shares, “The number of souls that have been won through this ministry is outstanding.  I think it's over 500 million souls or something who's been saved. Not many ministries can boast of that number.”

Today, Judy still teaches piano lessons, and Don is an engineering professor at the university of Tennessee. They both know that when you help those in need through your giving God will bless you.

Don says, “When you look at right where your money goes you see your priorities. And if your professed priority is toward Jesus Christ then your finances need to reflect that.”

Judy shares, “I would just encourage everyone to give and give more than you think you can give.  Just trust God and try him and test him and see if he won't bless you more than you could ever imagine or think.”
